Stabbing Investigation; Arrest Made

<p>Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announces the arrest of a man accused of stabbing two people last night.</p>

<p><strong>Corneilous Williams</strong> (DOB: 7-12-1986) is charged with <strong>Two Counts of Attempted Murder</strong>, <strong>Two Counts of Second Degree Assault</strong> and <strong>Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime</strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp; This morning, a judge set a $750,000 bond.</p>

<p>Williams was arrested last night after allegedly stabbing two males near the 1400 block of Main Street at approximately 10:30 p.m.</p>

<p>According to witnesses, Williams inappropriately touched a female while she was walking with a male friend, and when confronted by the male, Williams allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the arms.</p>

<p>The female ran for help and located a nearby security guard who was stabbed in the side as he tried to subdue the suspect.&nbsp;&nbsp; The security guard managed to chase the suspect and detain him until CPD officers arrived on scene a short time later.</p>

<p>Both victims were taken to a local hospital where they continue to receive treatment.</p>

<p>Williams was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.</p>
