Full Notification

On 10/15/16 at approximately 11:08pm, Berkeley Police Dispatch received several calls of shots fired in the area of Dana and Haste Streets just south of the University of California campus. When Officers arrived on scene they found a 35 year old, mixed race male, lyaing in the middle of the street, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The Victim was transported to the Alameda County Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

This event does not appear to be random and it is unclear if the victim is affiliated with the University. Officers are clear of the crime scene but the investigation remains ongoing.
