Thefts from unlocked vehicles advisory

The Torrance Police Department would like to remind motorists to always lock their vehicles and never leave valuables within same, particularly in plain sight.  Even if planning to only be away from your vehicle for a brief time, your vehicle should be left locked without valuables present.  Thieves target stereos, CDs, purses, wallets, backpacks, duffel bags, briefcases, laptops, cell phones, recently purchased merchandise, tools, registration and insurance documents, in all types of vehicles, all times of day, all days of week in commercial and residential areas in all parts of the city. Please report any information believed to be related to this criminal activity to The Torrance Police Department at 310-328-3456.
