THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR BERNALILLO COUNTY UNTIL 6:45 MDT

<p>At 550 pm MDT severe thunderstorms were located along a line<br />
extending from Albuquerque to 9 miles east of south valley moving<br />
northeast at 40 mph.<br />
<br />
Hazard 60 mph wind gusts. Source radar indicated. Impact expect damage to roofs siding and trees.</p>

<p>Locations impacted include Albuquerque southern Rio rancho, Corrales, Bernalillo, Los ranchos de Albuquerque, Tijeras, Paradise Hills, Ventana ranch, Sandia heights and south valley.<br />
<br />
This includes the following highways: Interstate 40 between mile markers 150 and 175 and Interstate 25 between mile markers 212 and 242.<br />
<br />
Precautionary/preparedness actions Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce visibilities below one quarter mile at times.</p>
