Countywide Public Safety Virtual Ride-Along Planned for Friday September 30th 2016
Modesto, CA – Have ever wanted to ride in the front seat of a patrol car or fire truck? Are you interested in what type of crime or activity may be happening in your neighborhood? Are you looking to pursue a career in public safety? This Friday get a glimpse into the realities of life in public safety while you take a “virtual ride-along” with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, Modesto Police Department, Ceres Police Department, Modesto Fire Department, Stanislaus Consolidated Fire, and Turlock Fire Department.
Starting at 7 p.m. on Friday night, each department will use their own Facebook and Twitter accounts to give you an inside look at what happens during their shifts. As you virtually ride alongside our staff to calls for service, you will get an inside view of incidents by video, photos and live feed. All social media posts and Tweets will include our countywide hashtag “STANCO911”. We encourage you to ask questions during the night by using the hashtag or by mentioning the agency your question is directed to.
