Coal Tar Sealcoat Scam 
Attention Scio Township Residents:
The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office in partnership with Scio Township has been alerted of a coal tar sealcoat scam that has been taking place in the area. The name of the fictious company is called "Father and Sons Sealcoating". If approached by anyone attempting to provide a sealcoat job on your driveway or if you have already been a victim of this scam please call 911 immediately as it is illegal to use coal tar based sealer products in Scio Township.
Members of the fictious company were driving a green Dodge pickup with camouflage on the wheel rudders.
