On September 21, 2016 at approximately 3:00 AM units from the Angels Camp Fire Department, Altaville Melones Fire Protection District, San Andreas Fire Protection District, Murphys Fire Protection District, and CalFire were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 1600 block of Mountain View Road in Angels Camp.
Units arrived on scene to find a vacant single family residence that was 80% engulfed in flames.
Firefighters confined the fire to the residence with no extention to the surrounding vegetation. The extreme heat from the fire caused minor exterior damage to two neighboring houses.
The residence is considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
