Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the discovery of human remains in the area of 15200 San Gabriel Canyon Road, unincorporated Azusa. The remains, which appear to be fossilized human bones, were discovered by local patrons on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at approximately 12:20 PM.

The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner – Coroner’s Office has recovered the possible human remains and will work with Homicide detectives towards identifying the victim. At this time, it is unknown how long the remains have been in the area.
