On August 31st Superior Twp Deputies responded to the 8800 block of MacArthur regarding a Home Invasion.  Numerous items were stolen from the Apartment.  Recently, Deputies were alerted to social media post that included images of the stolen property in the background of the posted video.  The person who posted the video was also kind enough to display the address where the stolen property was located (no really he did!).  A search warrant was drafted, then executed also in the 8800 block of MacArthur (yes it was a neighbor).  Located inside of the residence were numerous items taken in the August 31st theft.  Three subjects were detained inside of the residence when the search warrant was executed including the person who posted the video.  Two of the three subjects were arrested on outstanding warrants.  Charges are pending against one of the residents at this location and further interviews are pending.  

Burglars are opportunistic and look for the easiest way in and out. The more you can secure your property the less likely you are to have your home/vehicle broken into.

-Reinforce strike plate on doors
-Shield windows near doors

-Lock all doors and windows
-Install and always set a home alarm
-Get a dog
-Know your neighbors
-Join neighborhood watch
