#LASD Seeking Public’s Help in Locating Missing Person, Duarte

Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Missing Persons Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Rudolpho “Rudy” Mejia, a 58 year-old male Hispanic who was last seen leaving his residence on Vineyard Avenue in the city of Duarte on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Mr. Mejia is described as 5’10”, 230 lbs., and has short, brown hair and blue eyes.  He is missing his bottom front teeth and has an approximate three inch to four inch vertical scar on his left knee.  He was last seen wearing a grey shirt and blue jeans.

Mr. Mejia was driving a white, 2015 Dodge Ram (California license plate 02899W1) when he was last seen.  On Tuesday, September 13, 2016, the vehicle was located abandoned in Azusa Canyon.

Mr. Mejia suffers from depression and cardiovascular complications.  His family is very concerned and is asking for the public’s assistance.
