Full Notification

On Sunday, September 11, 2016, at approximately 4:00 PM Officers responded to the Whitley Avenue Market located in the 2700 block of Whitley Avenue for a report of an assault. Officers learned a store employee had been struck on the head with a full beer bottle causing a serious head injury.  The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his head injury and he remains in the hospital as he recovers from the injuries he sustained.  The victim indicated the suspect is an unidentified customer who frequents the store.

Officers and Detectives followed up on the case and identified Isaac Gray as a possible suspect.  On Tuesday, September 13th, officers arrested Isaac Gray for the assault of the store employee.  Gray was located in the 1000 block of Doran Avenue. While attempting to talk with Gray he fled on foot. After a short foot chase Gray was apprehended without further incident Gray was booked into the Kings County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.  His bail is set at $75,000
