Who:                   Homicide Captain Steven Katz, Lieutenant John       Corina, Sergeants Sandra Nava and Kenneth Clark, and Compton Sheriff Station Captain Michael Thatcher, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department; Council Member Tana McCoy, City of Compton; and the victim’s sisters, brother, and cousin.

What:                  Homicide Investigators will discuss the   circumstances surrounding the murder of 61-year-old, Patricia Davis, on August 4, 2016, at about 6:52 p.m. at Tragniew Park located at 2121 West Alondra Boulevard, Compton. 

Investigators are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying any witnesses that may have been in the park and may have seen and/or witnessed the incident. 

The victim was sitting in the park when she was assaulted by the suspect. 

When:                 Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 10:00 A.M.
