<p>On September 9, 2016 at 8:53 A.M. Officers responded to the 1000 block of West Front Street for a report of a shooting.&nbsp; Upon Officers arrival it was determined that the victim was not on location and drove himself to an area hospital.&nbsp;&nbsp; Officers received a description of the suspect and attempted to lcoate the suspect with the use of New Jersey State Police K-9.&nbsp; A thorough search of the area revealed that the shooter was no longer in the area.</p>

<p>The victim of the shooting was treated at an area hospital and has been released.</p>

<p>The suspect is described as a light skin black male, 28 - 32 years old, 5&#39;8&quot; - 5&#39;10&quot;, 130 - 140 lbs., grey hoodie with a scarf on his face wearing dark colored pants.&nbsp; We beleive that this was an isolated incident and residence should not fear going about their day to day activities.&nbsp; The Florence Township School District was placed on lock down as a precaution only.&nbsp; There is no reason to believe the school was a target of the shooting.&nbsp; All roads have been opened.&nbsp; The shooting is currently under investigation and anyone with information regarding the shooting is urged to contact F.T.P.D. at (609)267-8300 or if your wish to make an anonymous tip please follow this link:&nbsp; http://florence-nj.gov/police/tipline.html.</p>
