<p>During the past week there have been two reports of an unknown white male, 30-40 years old, approaching children.&nbsp; One in Minooka, the other here in Channahon.&nbsp; During both incidents the male offers the child a bicycle.&nbsp; Once the&nbsp;child refuses, the male leaves the area.</p>

<p>Please call 911 to report any suspicious persons or vehicles, especially around schools, bus stops, and parks.&nbsp; Extra patrol officers have been assigned to these areas.</p>

<p>The Channahon and Minooka Police are investigating these reports.&nbsp; If you have any information about these incidents or can identify the male, please call the Channahon Police at 815-467-5152.</p>

<p>Please have a discussion with your children about how to respond if approached by a stranger and the importance of immediately reporting&nbsp;the incident&nbsp;to the police.</p>
