Advisory

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a urban and small stream flood advisory for Bernalillo county until 6:15 pm MDT.

<p>At 4:18 pm MDT National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms over the western half of the Albuquerque metro area and portions of Rio Rancho. Brief heavy rain will lead to abrupt and possibly excessive runoff into arroyos and other drainage channels in parts of Albuquerque and Rio Rancho.<br />
<br />
Locations impacted include: Albuquerque,&nbsp;Southern Rio Rancho,&nbsp; Corrales, Los Ranchos de Albuquerque,Taylor Ranch, Paradise Hills,&nbsp; Ventana Ranch, Cabezon,&nbsp;Vista hills and Rio Rancho Intel area.<br />
<br />
This includes the following highways Interstate 40 between mile markers 148 and 160,&nbsp; Interstate 25 between mile markers 219 and 229 and between mile markers 236 and 238.<br />
<br />
Precautionary/preparedness actions: Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely.</p>
