Sex Registrant Compliance Checks Leads to 6 Arrests
Modesto CA – Over the last three days Deputies, Stanislaus County Probation Officers, the US Marshals Service and Modesto Police Officers conducted sex registrant compliance checks throughout Stanislaus County. The operation was conducted for sex registrants who have not complied with the terms of their registration or have not registered as they are required, some for several years. The operation was made possible through funding and assistance from the US Marshals Service.
A total of 33 compliance checks were completed over the last three days and 6 arrests were made for violations. Detectives will need to do follow-up that will likely lead to arrest warrants for 30 suspects who were in violation of their terms and the US Marshals Service will follow-up on 5 suspects who have left the state.
