On Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at 8:50 AM, Corcoran officers observed a subject who had jumped a fence from a backyard in the 1800 block of Earl Avenue. Officers chased the subject and located him hiding in an open garage in the 2100 block of Orange Avenue. He was identified as Mario Guerrero. After further investigation officers located a large marijuana grow in Guerrero's back yard. The marijuana was mature and ready to be harvested. Guerrero had modified his residence for drying marijuana. Guerrero admitted to cultivating the marijuana for a friend to sell. Officers seized the 405 mature plants with an estimated street value of 1.2 million dollars. Guerrero was booked into the Corcoran City Jail on the charges of cultivating marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale. He was later transported to the Kings County Jail where his bail was set at $110, 000.00 dollars.
