UPDATE: Information about the Local Assistance Center

On Monday, August 22, the Clayton Fire Local Assistance Center (LAC) opened at 16195 Main Street, Lower Lake, CA 95457, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. The LAC will run through Friday, August 26, and may be extended depending on need. Clayton Fire survivors are strongly encouraged to stop by the LAC to complete a brief survey, and receive a variety of information and assistance.

Services available at the LAC continue to grow daily, including replacement of Vital Records, such as birth, marriage or death certifications, replacement of Department of Motor Vehicles records, vouchers or gift cards for survivors with total loss, tax relief information, unemployment, clean-up and building information, insurance counseling, Red Cross and a variety of other valuable services. Victim Compensation and Government Claims is on site and assisting survivors with filing claims to get medical, mental health, and wage losses covered due to arson. On Wednesday, August 24, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will be arriving. SBA can assist with low interest disaster loans for both businesses and homeowners. USDA offers many programs that can assist landowners, farmers, ranchers and producers during disasters.

All Clayton Fire survivors are encouraged to attend and register, enabling service providers to communicate with you as additional services and resources become available.
