Hayward Neighborhood Alert's Community Meeting – TOPIC “Active Shooter” on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 7pm-8:30pm

THE HAYWARD NEIGHBORHOOD ALERT IS HOSTING A COMMUNITY MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 31, 2016, 7PM-8:30PM AT HPD’S NORTH DISTRICT OFFICE – 22701 MAIN STREET - HAYWARD

TOPIC: ACTIVE SHOOTER

An “active shooter” is an individual or group of individuals actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a populated area. The purpose of this presentation is to enhance preparedness through a "whole community" approach by providing information to a broad range of stakeholders on issues such as active shooter awareness, incident response, and workplace violence. In many cases, there is no pattern or method to the selection of victims by an active shooter(s), and these situations are, by their very nature, unpredictable and evolve quickly.

Lieutenant Will Deplitch, SWAT Commander will provide information so that all persons can help prepare themselves for an active shooter situation.
