Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are Assisting Glendora Police Department and continuing with the death investigation of a woman found deceased at South Lone Hill Avenue and Auto Centre Drive, Glendora, on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 10:09 a.m.

Investigators have learned that maintenance workers from Metro Rail were in the area doing work on the railroad tracks when they discovered a female adult deceased.

Glendora Police Department personnel began their investigation. The woman’s body was found a couple of feet from the tracks. There were no obvious signs of trauma or foul play. She was not struck by a train and it appears she may have been there for a day or two.

She is a female White 26 years-old, and a resident of Glendora.

The woman was known to suffer from various health problems.

The cause of death and identity of the deceased will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

There is no further information at this time.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to South Lone Hill Avenue and Auto Centre Drive in the city of Glendora, to assist Glendora Police Department personnel investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of woman.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  Currently, the cause of death is unknown.                                                        

The investigation is on-going and there is no additional information available at this time.
