August 8th

Aggravated Assault - Gun

Crescent Heights Blvd / Fountain Avenue

08/08/2016 @ 0222-0239. A male adult was driving SB on Crescent Heights near Fountain Avenue when two shots were fired at his vehicle. The male adult driver was not injured. During the same time frame, two adults were leaving a residence in the 900 block of Larrabee Street and noticed a vehicle on the street occupied by two adult males. A brief verbal argument ensued, during which one of the suspects pointed a handgun at the two adult victims and threatened to kill them. Both suspects then returned to their vehicle and drove away. The victims began to drive to the WHD station when the suspects stopped their vehicle and fired shots in the direction of the victim’s vehicle. #04613

 

Grand Theft

9000 Block Beverly Drive

08/08/2016 @ 1633. Two adult men took an employee’s laptop and cellphone from the front counter and ran from the store. Loss $3500. #04629

 

Vehicle Burglary

9000 Block Beverly Blvd

08/08/2016 @ 1200-1230. A briefcase was taken from the back seat. No sign of forced entry. Loss $600. #04619

 

Vehicle Burglary

1300 Block N Harper Avenue

08/08/2016 @ 0300-0530. A backpack, key fob, sunglasses, and a portable speaker were taken from the front seat. No sign of forced entry. Loss $1600. #04692

 

August 9th

Aggravated Assault - Other Weapon / Suspect Arrested

8700 Block Dorrington Avenue

08/09/2016 @ 0755. A parking enforcement employee was hit in the head with a plastic water bottle thrown by a male adult who was upset about a parking ticket. The suspect was arrested. #04642

 

Grand Theft

8700 Block Sunset Blvd

08/09/2016 @ 2200-0200. A women’s purse was taken from her seat while she was in the restroom. Loss $5400. #04650

Vehicle Burglary

Carol Drive / Phyllis Street

08/12/2016 @ 0600-1516. The center console and in-dash television were removed from the vehicle. No sign of forced entry. Loss $350. #04715

8700 Block Melrose Avenue

08/13/2016 @ 2200-0001. The driver’s side window was smashed and a backpack, wallet, and passport were taken from the front floorboard. Loss $350. #04767
