Subject: Shots Fired

On Sunday, August 14, 2016 at around 2:45 AM the Sun Prairie Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at the intersection of Bristol Street and Main Street in the City of Sun
Prairie. A witness reported seeing a vehicle fire several shots at another vehicle on Main Street. Both vehicles then left the area in different directions. The Sun Prairie Police Department has not received any reports of anyone injured from this incident. Two local businesses did sustain damage from rounds striking the buildings. At this time the Sun Prairie Police Department has no information to suggest that there is an ongoing threat to the safety of the public. The Sun Prairie Police Department is attempting to locate two vehicles involved in this incident. One vehicle is an early 2000 model dark colored four door sedan with a shattered back windows and possible other bullet holes. The second vehicle is a white or light colored Lincoln Towne Car or sedan with large rims. Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information on the people involved should contact the Sun Prairie Police Department at (608)-837-7336. This investigation is active and there is no additional information to release at this time. Additional media releases will be issued as new information is obtained.
