East Los Angeles Sheriff's Station detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying an armed suspect that robbed a local business “Mayra’s 99 Cent Discount” store, on Friday, August 3, 2016, at 4:20 pm. in the 100 block of Mednik Avenue, East Los Angeles.

Detectives have learned that the suspect, a male Hispanic between the ages of 20-25 with facial acne, entered the location and committed an armed robbery.  The victim saw what he believed to be the butt-stock of a firearm when the suspect lifted his shirt to display the firearm in his waistband. 

The suspect fled the location with $20.00 in miscellaneous United States currency. He was last seen on foot westbound toward Gleason Street, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt over a black cap, beige knee length shorts, and black shoes and socks.

The weapon is of unknown make/model/caliber.
