HARRIS COUNTY, TX – On Monday, Sheriff Ron Hickman and his deputies will deliver fifteen residential air conditioning units to seniors in dire need of relief from soaring temperatures.

The National Weather Service has issued multiple severe heat advisories over recent weeks in response to triple digit temperatures in the Houston/Harris County region.

Through a public-private partnership, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office was able to identify fifteen elderly and disabled residents without home air conditioning in the Sheriff’s jurisdiction. Funds for the purchase of the equipment and labor have been secured through private donation.
