WIS 54 closure, detour scheduled to begin August 22 in Wood County 
Crews plan to close WIS 54 at the railroad crossing, located east of Wisconsin Rapids, beginning Monday, August 22 at 6 a.m.
During the closure traffic will be detoured via WIS 13, WIS 66, and I-39. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for travel.
The closure is necessary for crews to reconstruct the WIS 54 railroad crossing.
The road is scheduled to reopen before the end of the day Saturday, August 27. The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and construction status.
