#LASD - Carson Station Deputies Arrest Attempt Murder Suspect Shortly After Shots Fired on 110fwy @CarsonLASD 
Los Angeles County Sheriff Department Carson Station deputies arrest an attempt murder suspect shortly after shots were fired on the freeway.
Carson Station received a call from the victim on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at approximately 10:55 a.m. stating he was just shot at on the northbound 110 Harbor Freeway, South of 223rd Street, Unincorporated Torrance.
The victim report the incident to dispatch, stating he was driving north on the 110 freeway when the suspect drove alongside him and they exchanged words. The suspect then shot at the victim, with at least one round penetrating the passenger compartment of his vehicle. He was able to provide a description of the suspect, his vehicle, and the gun that was used in the crime. He also told dispatch that he saw the suspect exit the 110 freeway at Carson Street.
A short time later, deputies checking the area nearby, located the suspect driving near West 220th Street and Rashdall Avenue, Carson. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. A firearm and ammunition were recovered from his vehicle.
The suspect, Mike Ruiz, is a male Hispanic 25 years-old, and a resident of Los Angeles.
He was booked at Carson Station for Attempt Murder and is being held in lieu of $1,105,000 bail.
The victim was not struck by the bullet, nor was he otherwise injured during this incident.
