Wisconsin Rapids FD has smoke detectors available to people in need of them
In an effort to ensure the fire safety for all the citizens of Wisconsin Rapids, the Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department in collaboration with Wisconsin Smoke Alarm Fire Education (WisSAFE), the Red Cross, the Professional Firefighters of Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Fire Chiefs Association have joined forces. We have received 50 smoke detectors that we would like to install in homes that currently do not have working smoke detectors within the city of Wisconsin Rapids. This will be on a first come first serve basis. If you do not currently have a working smoke detector call the contact number below to schedule an appointment to have the fire department properly install smoke detectors that have a 10 year battery life. When we install the detectors we will also do a home safety check for you, to ensure a fire safe home.
