Citywide Traffic Enforcement Program planned for Thursday, August 4th.

Planned Citywide Traffic Enforcement Program

PASADENA, CA. - The Pasadena Police Department will be initiating a Traffic Enforcement program this Thursday, August 4, 2016.

The Police Department will deploy officers at various locations throughout the city to watch for hazardous violations. The focus will be on the driving behaviors that are often the leading causes of collisions. These violations include, but not limited to, speeding, unsafe turning movements and red signals. Violators will be cited and/or educated on the safety concerns associated with the particular violation. The need for driver education and subsequent enforcement is on-going due to the increasing volume of traffic within the City of Pasadena.

The Pasadena Police Department’s ultimate goal is to educate and correct hazardous driving behaviors while reducing all collisions especially those that result in serious injury and/or death.

Funding for this program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
