On behalf of Los Angeles County Fire Department and our partners we thank the Hart High School District and Golden Valley High School for their partnership with us in our efforts to battle the Sand Fire.
The Sand Fire remains at 98 percent contained and 41,432 acres. Resources include 624 total personnel, 16 engines, 16 hand crews, 3 helicopters, 7 water tenders, and 11 dozers. A scaled down incident command post and staff will move to Acton Park tomorrow to continue to manage the containment and mop up of the Sand Fire.
