JOIN WEST HOLLYWOOD DEPUTIES AND STATION PERSONNEL FOR OUR 33RD ANNUAL “NATIONAL NIGHT OUT”
‪#NNO2016‬ ‪#LASD‬

On Tuesday, August 2, 2016, neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles County are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 33rd Annual “National Night Out” crime and drug prevention event. National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and co-sponsored locally by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. It will involve more than 10,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases around the world. More than 35 million people are expected to participate in “America’s Night Out Against Crime.”

National Night Out is a nationwide crime and drug prevention awareness campaign designed to generate support for and participation in local anti-crime efforts. It strengthens neighborhood spirit and law enforcement-community partnership to send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting crime.

On August 2, 2016, residents in neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles County and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and law enforcement. Many neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles County will be hosting a variety of special events such as block parties, cookouts, and flashlight walks.

On August 2, 2016, West Hollywood Station will be celebrating National Night Out with numerous Neighborhood Watch block parties from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. See attached for block party locations.

Note: street closures for National Night Out will take place on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and include:
