NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2016 Your neighborhood is invited to participate with many other neighborhoods across the country in celebration of National Night Out on Tuesday evening, August 2, 2016.

The Corcoran Police Department is a nationally registered participant of National Night Out. Corcoran’s National Night Out will be held at Christmas Tree Park at the corner of Whitley/Chittenden. From 6pm-8pm we will provide games, music, hot dogs, popcorn and root beer floats. Central California Blood Center will be at the event from 5pm-8pm. Please bring your ID so that you can donate blood…it may save a life!

We will also have other informational booths.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. Together, we are making that happen. National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement. When law enforcement and the community work closely together, some amazing things can happen. National Night Out is designed to: (1) Heighten crime and drug awareness; (2) Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships; and (4) Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
