Press Release - Arrest Made For Criminal Threats.

On Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 11:44 AM, CPD officers were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of Dairy Avenue regarding a female making threats and damaging property. Officers later contacted and detained the female, who was identified as Maricela Curiel.  The male victim advised officers that Curiel was his ex-girlfriend who came to his residence and became angry because there was another woman at the residence.  Curiel reportedly damaged the windows to the victim’s vehicle, which was parked out front.  She was also seen carrying a BBQ fork trying to confront the victim and the female at the residence.  Curiel then threatened she was going to kill the female.  Curiel then left the residence after the male and female called the police.  The male and female at the residence were not injured.  Curiel was charged with making criminal threats and later booked at the Kings County Jail with a bail amount of $50,000.00
