TWO JUVENILES ARRESTED FOR WEAPONS/GANG VIOLATIONS
On the evening of 07/28/2016, Morgan Hill Police Officer's were dispatched to investigate the report of suspicious activity in the area of 15855 Monterey Road. Upon arrival, an officer contacted two suspicious juvenile subjects who matched the provided descriptions in the south parking lot of 500 Vineyard Town Center. One of the male subjects immediately fled, however , he was quickly apprehended by another officer. A cursory search of the subject who fled revealed he was in possession of revolver cylinder. Officer's conducted a search of the area and located a matching .38 revolver frame.
The subjects were identified as juveniles from San Jose and Gilroy respectively and both were on active juvenile probation with gang, curfew and alcohol clauses. The subjects were ultimately arrested for being in possession of unlawful weapons, resisting arrest and probation violations. Both were transported to Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall.
The Morgan Hill Police Department does not believe that either of the subjects were involved in the recent downtown shooting.
