Reference: Counterfeit money alert- Warning to business owners

The Norton Shores Police Department is warning business owners in the Muskegon County area of counterfeit money being passed at several locations in Norton Shores. The false bills have been seen all over Western Michigan.

The Norton Shores Police department is currently investigating four complaints of fake $100 bills and one complaint of a fake $20 bill.

Most of the fake money is stamped “For Motion Picture Use Only”. The Norton Shores Police Department is asking that if a bill similar to the one attached is passed to a retailer that they call the police and provide a description of the person that passed the bill.
