Lomita Station Detectives Seek Public's Help in Idenifying Persons of Interest Related to Residential Burglary

Detectives from Lomita Station are seeking assistance from the public in identifying persons of interest related to a residential burglary which occurred in the 30600 block of Palos Verdes Drive East in Rancho Palos Verdes, between 1 pm and 2 pm on Saturday, July 16, 2016.

Surveillance video captured a female adult knocking on the doors of residences in the area where a break in occurred.  Another individual was seen waiting nearby in a Blue Nissan Altima with paper dealer plates from "Gardena Nissan."  The Sheriff’s Department responded to calls from alert area residents regarding the suspicious individuals, but they were not located.  This method of operation is similar to “Knock Knock Series Burglaries,” we have experienced throughout Southern California.

The individual knocking on doors was described as a Female Black, 20-25 years of age, with long dark hair, wearing a black shirt, black zip up jacket, black yoga type pants, and black flip flops.

Lomita Sheriff’s Station provides law enforcement services to the cities of Lomita, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, and unincorporated communities in San Pedro and the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Duckworth of Lomita Sheriff’s Station at (310) 891-3213.  Or if you wish to remain anonymous, call “LA Crime Stoppers” by dialing 800-222-TIPS (8477), or text the letters TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637,) or by using the website http://lacrimestoppers.org.
