Woman's Death being Investigated by LASD Homicide Bureau, 1100 Block of E Bitterlake St, Carson

Sheriff’s Homicide are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Carson.

Investigators learned Carson Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the 1100 block of East Bitterlake Street, in Carson, regarding a “Person not Breathing” call. When they arrived, they located the adult female-Black victim. The woman was initially discovered by a passerby on Monday, July 18, 2016, at approximately 6:15 a.m.  

Paramedics responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.  

Preliminary investigation did not reveal any obvious signs of trauma. As part of the on-going investigation, The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

The victim’s identity will not be revealed at this time.
