Illegal Gambling Computers Seized

On Tuesday, July 12, 2016, the Fairfield Police Department assisted the California Department of Justice's Bureau of Gaming Control in seizing gambling equipment at Talk N Win, a sweepstakes cafe gambling operation.  20 illegal gambling computers were seized and the business was closed.  Also on Tuesday, the Bureau of Gambling Control closed down LM Connexions, another illegal sweepstakes cafes gambling establishment in Vallejo.  The Bureau seized 19 illegal gambling computers from this operation.

Both establishments are internet cafes that use sweepstakes gambling software to create interactive gambling-themed games that the company represents as lawful promotional sweepstakes for play, but constitutes illegal gambling under state law.

We appreciate the relationship that we have with the California Department of Justice Bureau of Gaming Control and the assistance they have provided us and our efforts to stop illegal gambling within the City of Fairfield.

Talk N Win was previously shut down on August 26, 2015.  In late June, the Fairfield Police Department learned that Talk N Win had re-opened in the same location and was conducting the same illegal gambling operation.  Detectives from the Fairfield Police Department again assisted the California Department of Justice's Bureau of Gaming Control with their investigation into activities taking place at Talk N Win.
