(Harris County, TX) The Harris County Sheriff’s Office in Cooperation with the Surete de Quebec, Canada is announcing the arrest of a juvenile male suspect in Canada, who preyed upon a juvenile female victim here in Harris County.

The HCSO High Tech Crimes Unit, in cooperation with the Surete de Quebec, the regional law enforcement agency in the Locality of Valleyfield, Quebec, investigated a complaint of a person who was sexually communicating with a minor child in Harris County.

The suspect contacted a 12-year-old female via online video chatting software and proceeded to instruct her to perform sexually for him. During the video conversations the suspect provided her with sexually explicit videos of himself.

The parents of the child in Harris County contacted the Sheriff’s Office to file a report after they discovered the communication on one of the family’s tablets.

High Tech Crime Investigators worked diligently to obtain information and evidence to identify a suspect. Through the investigation it was learned the suspect resides in Canada. In a cooperative effort with the Surete de Quebec the person was identified as a 16-year-old male and interviewed by Canadian Law Enforcement.

The suspect provided a full confession and was subsequently charged by a Canadian court for the offenses listed above on June 23rd, 2016.
