Grundy County Fairgrounds Fireworks Traffic Control Plan For July 3rd 2016

Please pay attention to and follow the instructions of the Traffic Control Officials.

All vehicles viewing the fireworks from the Fairgrounds property must exit the grounds via the North Drive or the Middle Drive. The South Drive will be CLOSED.

The North Fairgrounds Drive will only be allowed to exit on to Illinois Route 47 North, you must go North to Nelson Road and go west or continue North on Route 47.

If you view the fireworks from Nelson or Middle Roads you will need to take Lisbon Road North or South to avoid the Route 47 congested traffic.

The Middle Fairgrounds Drive will only be allowed to exit on to Illinois Route 47 South, you must go Southbound towards Interstate 80 and Morris.

If you choose to view the fireworks from Granville or Ashley Roads you will need to take Ashley Road North and South to avoid Route 47 congested traffic. Granville will be CLOSED at Route 47.

If you are viewing the fireworks from Saratoga School property, you will only be allowed to exit South on to Illinois Route 47 Southbound. You will only be allowed to interject in to the fairground traffic going South in the gaps as directed by Traffic Control Officials.

Please pay attention to and follow the instructions of the Traffic Control Officials.

This plan is designed to move over 3000 people as efficiently and safely as possible, please be patient and be aware of your surroundings.
