At approximately 1 a.m. on July 1st, 2016, Southport officers and detectives served a search warrant at a residence on north Main Street in Southport. Recovered from a vehicle in the driveway of the residence was 550 grams of marijuana and numerous schedule II narcotics. It is believed the owner of the vehicle was making a delivery to the residence, which has been under surveillance for some time. The residents of the home are suspected of dealing narcotics and engaging in other illegal activities.
