Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives responded to the 11100 block of Whittier Boulevard, unincorporated Whittier, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a female adult on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at approximately 12:23 p.m.

The female adult was found unresponsive in her motel room by an employee and pronounce dead at the scene.

There were no obvious signs of foul play.

The cause of death and identification will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are en route to the 11100 block of Whittier Boulevard, unincorporated Whittier, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a female adult.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.                                                        

There is no additional information available at this time and the investigation is still on-going.
