Cushing July 4th Celebration in Memorial Park. CPD wants to remind you, it is unlawful for the public to possess fireworks in city limits.

As we prepare to celebrate our nation’s Independence Day in the Memorial Park. The Cushing Police Department would like to promote a fun, safe and family environment for the celebration. As you prepare to attend the celebration keep in mind the following city ordinances.

• Do not bring your personal fireworks to the park. It is unlawful for the public to possess, discharge or explode fireworks in corporate city limits including parks. Any person found to be in violation of City Ordinance Article 8 Sec. 42-211 may be subject to a fine of $174.

• Most animals do not like the loud sounds of the firework but if you are planning on bringing a pet do not let them run at large. It is unlawful for animals to be allowed to run at large within the city. (City Ordinance 14 -35).

• It is unlawful to consume alcoholic beverages in any city park in Cushing. (City Ordinance 74-107)
