BURN BAN IN EFFECT DUE TO DRY CONDITIONS.

The Gratiot County Fire Chief's Association has issued a burn ban until further notice. During this time, NO NEW BURN PERMITS WILL BE ISSUED. Burn permits are required for those outside of the city that are wanting to burn brush.

IT IS ILLEGAL TO BURN BRUSH/LEAVES/GRASS CLIPPINGS/CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS INSIDE THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS.

This burn ban does not apply to recreational fires (bonfires/campfires) or fireworks in Gratiot County. ALL ARE ADVISED TO USE CAUTION IF YOU ARE HOSTING A BONFIRE/CAMPFIRE. Never leave any campfire/bonfire unattended.

Anyone inside the City of St. Louis who wants to have a recreational fire must have an approved fire pit. Contact the St. Louis Police Department if you would like to have your fire pit inspected.
