Deputies arrest man after pursuit and collision 
DATE/TIME: Monday, June 20, 2016 at 3:41 p.m.
INCIDENT: VC 2800.2(a)-Driving with a disregard for public safety while fleeing from pursuing police
LOCATION: Spring Water and Springy Path in Crestline
SUSPECT: Michael Harvey, Age 37
SUMMARY:
On Monday, June 20, 2016, deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on an older model silver Cadillac with paper plates. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Michael Harvey, failed to pull over for deputies. A short but erratic pursuit followed in the Crestline area. While driving down the middle of the road, Harvey attempted to pass an approaching vehicle causing a minor collision. Harvey continued down the wrong side of the road, striking a second vehicle. Harvey’s vehicle then hit a light pole in an attempt to pass yet another vehicle. Harvey exited his vehicle while it was still in drive and the vehicle struck an oncoming car. Deputies arrested Harvey for VC 2800.2(a)-Driving with a disregard for public safety while fleeing from pursuing police. Harvey was transported to Central Detention Center for booking without incident.
