MESSAGE RELAYED ON BEHALF OF JACKSON POLICE DEPARTMENT AND TETON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

 

SCAM ALERT

The Teton County Sheriff’s Office and Jackson Police Department would like to advise the public of a credit card scam occurring in the Jackson area.

Handbills advertising a circus occurring at the Teton County Fairgrounds for June 22nd have been placed on windshields of parked cars throughout the town of Jackson.  Please be aware that there is NOT a circus scheduled to be at the fairgrounds on this date and this is a scam to get you to purchase tickets using a credit card.  Do NOT attempt to purchase tickets from the telephone number on the fliers.

Similar Scams are going on across the United States and can be researched on the internet.

If you have already purchased tickets using your credit card, report the incident to Teton County Sheriff’s Communications Center at (307)733-2331.
