On 06-18-16 at approximately 6:00 p.m., Stanislaus County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the 3800 Block of Atchison Street in Riverbank, CA for the report of a deceased person near the Stanislaus River. When deputies arrived they found 43 year-old Justin Rainwater of Riverbank deceased in a homeless camp near the river.
Detectives responded and are investigating the death of Rainwater as a homicide. The cause of death will be determined by the Coroner's Office. There is no suspect information and detectives are asking for anyone with information regarding this investigation to contact them.
