On Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at 12:20 AM, a Corcoran Officer made a traffic stop on a blue 2005, GMC Yukon with paper license plates.  The vehicle was traveling east bound on Whitley Avenue and crossed Highway 43. The vehicle stopped on the east side of Highway 43 on Whitley Avenue. After the driver could not provide a drivers license, registration and insurance the Officer attempted to call in the registration using the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and realized the VIN was removed from the dash.  At this point the Officer detained the driver, who was later identified as Alejandro Millan (Age 28). After further investigation it was determined the vehicle was stolen out of Bakersfield, California.  Millan initially gave Officers a fake name but his true identity was revealed after he was fingerprinted.  Millan was booked into Kings County Jail for 10851(a)VC-being in possession of a stolen vehicle and 148.9(a)PC-providing false identification to a police officer. Millan is being held on $55,000.00 Bail.
