Recent Car Burglaries 
Due to recent burglaries into motor vehicles, where unsecured vehicles have been ransacked, the Haledon Borough Police Department is urging the community to lock their vehciles at all times and please follow these tips:
Do not leave valuables in plain sight such as GPS devices, laptops, cell phones, mp3 players, wallets, or purses.
Do not leave your windows or sunroof open.
Do not leave your doors unlocked.
Do not leave any keys in your vehicle.
Do not leave the garage door opener in plain sight.
Do not leave out items with personal information.
Do not move valuable items to the trunk while in public view.
