UPDATE, #LASD Homicide Detectives Investigate Shooting that Left One Man Dead & Another Injured, 1900 Blk 78th St, LA
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives responded to the 1900 block of East 78th Street, unincorporated Los Angeles, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting of two male Hispanic adults on Friday, June 10, 2016 at approximately 9:15 p.m.
When homicide detectives arrived they learned that the victims were standing in the driveway of the location with several other people. Two men were riding westbound on a mini bike and stopped at the location. One of the men on the mini bike produced a handgun and opened fire. Following the shooting, the suspects rode away westbound and out of view.
One victim was struck in the upper torso and transported to a local hospital where he died as a result from his injuries.
The second victim was struck in the lower torso and transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
There is no suspect information.
The investigation is on-going.

NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are responding to the 1900 block of 78th Street, Los Angeles, to investigate the circumstances surrounding a shooting that left one man dead and another injured. The incident occurred at approximately 9:05 PM on Friday, June 10, 2016.
The victims, both male Hispanic adults, were transported to a local hospital where one of the victims was pronounced dead. The condition of the other victim is unknown at this time.
