UPDATE #LASD Detectives Investigate Shooting Death of a Woman, Carson St & Evonda Ave, Carson

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a woman that occurred at approximately 12:10 AM on Saturday, June 11, 2016.

Detectives have learned that the victim was walking west on Carson Street when an unknown suspect approached her from behind. The suspect produced a firearm and opened fire striking the victim. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no suspect description, and the investigation is on-going.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are responding to the area of Carson Street and Evonda Avenue, Carson, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a woman that occurred at approximately 12:20 AM on Saturday, June 11, 2016.

The victim, a female Hispanic adult, was pronounced dead at the scene.
